Customer requirement
The customer needed to combine and stabilize multiple pesto packages together, creating groups of 2 or 3 pieces to facilitate product handling, logistics, and transportation.
The main objective was to achieve a stable, fast, and repeatable bundling process, without damaging the packages and while maintaining a good level of holding strength during handling.
Proposed solution and machine used
For this application, the FP WK 0230 strapping machine equipped with plastic strap was used.

The machine stands out for its operational flexibility, as it can work in both semi-automatic and automatic modes:
- Semi-automatic mode: the operator positions the product and starts the strapping cycle through a manual control.
- Automatic mode: a photocell detects the presence of the product and automatically activates the bundling cycle.
This dual operating mode allows versatile use according to the customer’s production flow.

During the test, the bundling of groups consisting of 2 and 3 packages was evaluated.
The video shows the strapping cycle in operation, with the machine applying the plastic strap precisely and consistently around the products.
The system demonstrated smooth operation in both manual and automatic modes, ensuring operational continuity and ease of use.
